Daughters School Play Robin Hood

The lights went up and the music began - in came the characters as large as life - well as alright as you can be when you are 8 years old. Then I saw her - she was Much the Millers Son - she wore her hat at a jaunty angle so that we couldnt see her closely - but I knew where she was, who she was and I could see that she was nervous, she kept licking her lips ..I wanted to make eye contact with her so that she knew I was there - willing her to feel confident and to enjoy it - but with all the stage lights and the lights behind us facing the stage - I knew she couldnt see me - I clapped as hard as I could and sent love to her with every inch of my being. She said her words so beautifully and I was so proud of her...she didnt have a singing solo like some (must say there were wonderful - they all were) but she didnt need to - she shone out and my heart filled with so much love - sometimes being a Mum as well as a Wife and a Daughter and working long hours and juggling it all - I feel like I could stop a while sometimes to catch my breath but there is no way on this earth I would swap being a Mum to my two wonderful children - I love them with every inch of my heart and I so want them to have a wonderful childhood and to know how much they are loved!!!!

Now they are both tucked up safely in bed - I can blog the card I made night before last for this fabby challenge - I do like a skertch challenge - and here it is

and here is what I came up with

Thanks for sharing your DD's accomplishment. I have a 7-year old, so I totally get it. :) Your card is so cute, and I loved the close up, sneak peeks. The flowers are really pretty. Thanks for joining us at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Such a lovely card with a great fussy cut image. Your children are fortunate to have such a talented card maker as their MOM. Thanks for playing with us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

What a lovely story about your daughter. I think I'm going to share it with my students to see how "moments" are written.

Your card is just darling. Love that sparkle. Thanks for joining us this week at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

It seems that your daughter school play Robin Hood was a great success. I know that she really did a great job on being part of that play. I also like that lovely pink card that she created.
