visit to hospital

Had just finished chatting to Steph and Rose on line about our fun packed weekend thats happening this coming weekend - just logged off and the phone rang - it was Mum sounding in a lot of pain so I got dressed and got in the car - half an hour later an ambulance was on its way and again I was chasing an ambulance - last time it happened was a year ago when Dad was taken in - we lost him a year ago on 28th Jan so revisiting the hospital in this way felt rather eerie. Anyway after a night in a and e I was told to go home about 0430 - Mum was on a gurney in the coridoor there were no beds - shock!!! this is the NHS what else could I have expected! Anyway I eventually went home a couple of hours later I was getting up and taking the children to school - My hubby luckily had got the children ready before he left for work and then only woken me at the last minute - bless him. Dropped them off - went and packed a few things for Mom and off again to that place! She was on the Emergency Assessment Unit and only got moved twice whilst she was in there - the good thing was I was able to stay with her all day - they had wondered if it was pancreatitious or however you spell it. The Doctor came though and saw Mom - she said you havent had a urine test - I informed them she had - it was apparently not written down in her notes or sent off for analysis. SO she had to do another one. The Doctor was very nice and apologised and to be fair she was wonderful - so calming and very kind which helped a lot - it was hard for Mom to be in the same ward that we had visited Dad in so many times. She said she would get a presciption written up for her for the pain. Quite a while later one of the nurses came and did Moms bp - think it was the new shift that had just come on duty - the nurse commented on the fact that Mom hadnt need any pain killers and how was she feeling - Mom and I well our mouths dropped open and we explained that we were waiting for the medicine - a few mins later along it then came - theyd forgotten. Anyway they were trying to get her in for a scan - she is still waiting now!!!! Hopefully she should be on the lsit for this morning!!! They have now moved her to another ward which is a lot quieter there are only 6 on it and they are all ladies which is great - only drawback is I am not allowed to visit until 1400 today! The Doctors think it is kidney stones which I understand is very painful but hopefully they should be able to deal with this quite quickly - anyway I am going to have a bit of a tidy up now and maybe an hours sleep so will sign off now

At Grandma and Grandad's House

When we got to Grandma and Grandads ...Santa had got muddled up and left a couple of presents for the children there - I mean he is so busy this time of year isn' t he. and we took Grandma and Grandads main pressie with us - a Pamper Day at the Marriott Hotel. So on arrival it was opening pressies time again - which was lovely

Our two got a vtech camera for Chrimbo from Santa and they were going around snapping photos of all sorts and Grandma naturally thought they were pretend cameras so she weas quite happy smiling and posing away for them - until she realised that they were real and she hadnt had her hair done yet - oh noooo!!!!

Grandma if you are reading scroll down to the bottom and you can see your photo session!!!!

Ha ha

Only joking Grandma

Grandma - sorry but I had to include this one of you and your posh rubber gloves - I know you are a good sport and won't mind - really!
Hugs and kisses

Grandad with a brew how unusual!!!
The sun always shines on.... chuckles!

Boxing Day

We ran out of time yesterday - it had gone dark before we had time to show the children their main pressies - so we decided to save them until today

We said we would show them Jessies hutch - so went to the garage - mind you with me being armed with my camera - I wonder if deep down they twigged something was going on or perhaps they are so used to me having it around my neck - the camera - that is!

Madam all along has said she would like a Barbie Bike with a seat on the back for her baby and she wanted sprinkles coming from the handlebars - so thats exactly what Santa brought for her - Mummy even went and bought the special sprinkles for her as the bike wasnt made with them......would you believe - Christmas Eve she decided she wanted a little mermaid bike!! Santa already had the Barbie one packed on his sleigh! Luckily she has not said a word about it - not s single word and she seemed really happy with the one that he brought - phew!!!

Wer had a lovely bike ride around the village - Mummy Daddy and both monsters but booooooy oh boy - was it cold!

Our Christmas

Playing catch up now - this was the 19th Dec - the day that the little ones broke up for the holidays from school - we took them to a Christmas Disco at Brewsters - it was fancy dress - they had great fun
Meeting Brewster!

A couple of days left then to get readyf or Santa coming - lots of shopping and wrapping - singing and playing - making sure we were on the nice list not the naughty!!

We had decided to get our very first pet - Daddy wouldnt agree to a dog so in the end we agreed on a lionhead rabbit - one of the Mum's at school was looking for some loving homes for some. We were ging to surprise the children on Christmas morning but in the end we thought it might be too much excitement so we all went together Christmas Eve afternoon to collect Jessica and here she is...
The children were amazed that we could take her home and that we could keep her - it was lovely

Later that evening whilst the children were having a bath - the elves snuck in and this is what they left in their bedrooms

What clever elves and what perfect timing - brand new pjs and dressing gowns and nice new comfy slippers - the excitement was beginning to mount - the whoops and the yeehas were building - would they ever sleep that night....not before their preliminary visit from Santa and here he is arriving
Time for a pressie each and a quick cuddle before Santa has to carry on with his preparations - if the children stay well behaved and go to sleep..he will come back later - He reminds them first to leave something out for Rudolph and maybe a glass of milk for him - he can't have anything stronger as he is driving!!

So that's the tray ready .....
and now to guide Rudolph to our home - we have got the reindeer sparkle dust ready to put outside on the garden near our signs that Grandma and Grandad got us

rightyo - off to bed.............zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Early the next morning.....

a quick inspection of the tray and a feel of the stockings hung on the end of the bed and HE'S BEEEEN!!

Opening our stockings with Nanna before we wake Mummy and Daddy

Into the lounge and look there's more!
YIPPEEEE!!!!

A small break to have a drink and something to eat - and sort the dinner ...then back for more - how many Star Wars things can a little chap have - never enough lol!!!

I have been wanting this all year - thank you - yay!!!! What got Daniel so excited - his table pressie.......the Play Station 3 - Lego Star Wars 2

Mums friend Thelma came over in the afternoon for an hour - and then in the evening we played board games

Cranium Cadoo - this is good fun - you have to draw, sculpt or act things out or run around the house looking for certain items before the egg timer runs out!

Lee's favourite game - KER PLUNK!!!

and our absolute favourite - Uno Extreme - haven't got around to taking any piccies of this yet - have been too busy playing it!

That was Christmas - our first without Dad - we did ok - Mum, Emily and I went up to see him and I took him a drink of his favourite - Apple Schnapps - Mum said I couldn't leave the glass so after a few mins I lifted the flowers and poured the drink down - I think he would have appreciated it. I had a glass with him - must have looked liked a plonkey with a bottle and a glass - hiccup!! Tee Hee. Cheers Dad wherever you are - Love Ya x
